In the midst of recurring frustrations, we wonder why the heck we've been going 'round and 'round for this many years. I mean, why don't we just give up already? So we talk over each other and make no room for listening, much less compassion or grace. You give the dashboard that same blank stare you always do while I roll my eyes and tell you how I'm so tired of you. Silence. A lot of silence. Then one of us gets the nerve to meet the other's eye. One of us smirks, followed by the other one's chuckle. We laugh and come to the same darn conclusion: that there's no other place we'd rather be than here..running circles endlessly with each other. We love each other. We either always have, or finally do.
